This week the first phase of the fieldwork in the Grotestraat in Cuijk has been completed.
The first results were shared with great interest from the press, fellow archaeologists and local interested parties, which exceeded all expectations. A special feature is the well-preserved Roman era road, part of which has been lifted en-bloc and measured in 3D. The canals found are also startling. Now that the first phase of the fieldwork has been completed, we start to work out all finds and soil samples with a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
You can read more about this on the site of the municipality of Cuijk.
